Dacia Duster has rollover problems! Duster fails 2010 moose test!
Dacia Duster front drive appears dangerous to respond during an evasive maneuver, according to a test of Car Champion.
We are submitting the Duster as part of an extensive testing program to an alternative test. We conduct this test at all tested cars and most come through virtually problem.
Especially if the car's electronic stability control (ESP), they're very controllable and lifting longer than a rear wheel. To our horror show the front-wheel drive without ESP Duster at 65 km / h difficult to restrain.
Immediately after the test takes Autokampioen contact importer Dacia Renault Netherlands, which passes the results to the headquarters in Paris. A few days later, under the watchful eye of technical experts from Renault / Dacia the alternate test repeated. This time we not only have a front-wheel drive Duster, but also a 4x4 to our decision.
Potentially dangerous
After the third series of alternative tests that we have done with the Duster, we can not but conclude that the front-wheel drive without ESP Duster potentially dangerous. We do not understand why ESP only the most expensive version available.
At this stage at least. For Renault let us know that the Duster from March next year all lilacs engine is available with ESP.
And rollover protection. The latter is a system that intervenes when the vehicle in a curve is likely to fall.
