Toyota Highlander 2011: first official photos
Here's the new Toyota Highlander, the first official image released by the house.
The SUV will be devoted primarily to the Russian market and will debut at Moscow Show in the coming weeks to then be seen as a tradition at the Paris Autumn Salon.
Although the design is pleasingly Europe, the car does not plow our roads, but will only make its appearance in the United States.
This is the first redesign since its debut in 2000 exhibition in New York and the output of the second generation in 2008, anticipated by the Chicago Exhibition in 2007.
In Japan and Australia is known as the Toyota Kluger and uses the same platform as the Lexus RX. From 2005 includes a hybrid version, a V6 with two electric motors.
Compared to the first model, the new Toyota Highlander has stronger identity, with different traits inherited from the other crossover brand. The grille reminds the Toyota RAV4, for example, his alter ego in the Old Continent.
On the engines, however, this first official picture there can clear my head.
Given the above we expect a flagship 3.5-liter diesel to a slightly lower displacement and a hybrid course, which presumably uses the most advanced technological principles of the current version.
